Joseph “Joska” Horvath has been involved in playing Hungarian folk and classical music for decades, including as the bandleader for Eletfa, North America’s first Tanchaz-dedicated folk music band in North America. He resides in the Ottawa, Ontario area and runs weekly music classes, teaching up-and-coming Hungarian folk violinists, and is the 2026 recipient of the Ottawa Hungarian House’s Recognition Certificate.
